Golding Capital Partners, one of Europe's leading independent asset managers for alternative investments, with more than €13.5 billion in assets under management and 23 years of investment experience, enhances its business development activities in Italy and opens its own office in Milan. The new branch office will be led by Laura Tardino, who joined Golding as Managing Director and will now expand the sales activities in Southern Europe. Opening the new office is part of Golding’s long-term international growth strategy, intending to make investment solutions for infrastructure, buyout, private credit and impact investing accessible to investors across Europe.
“Italy and Southern Europe generally are important markets for us to build on
existing relationships and develop new ones. The new office and our own local sales
force in Italy will enable us to be even closer to the network of investors to whom we
have built relationships over the past years. Being close to our investors,
understanding and delivering on local requirements forms an essential part of our
philosophy”, explains Jeremy Golding. Founder and Managing Partner of Golding Capital
Partners.
“I am looking forward to introducing Golding and its extensive expertise to a broad range of investors in Italy. To start with, we will be focusing on experienced institutional investors, but looking further ahead, we expect to have attractive offerings for semi-professional target groups as well. In an uncertain economic environment it is especially important to be able to offer stable performance and downside protection in the form of broadly diversified and conservative investment solutions. With Golding investors can rely on a long-standing, robust track record in private markets”, adds Laura Tardino, Managing Director at Golding.
Laura Tardino looks back on 25 years’ experience of capital investing. Having completed a
degree in economics, she was Head of Institutional Business Development Italy from 2015
onwards at abrdn, where she was responsible for sales to pension funds, insurance
companies, banks and foundations. Prior to that, she worked in various positions at BNPP
Asset Management for fifteen years, most recently as Market Strategist and Head of the
Institutional Desk. She also has several years’ experience of managing alternative
investment funds with globally diversified allocations. Earlier in her career she worked
at the Intesa Group, the OECD and university. In 2021 she published a book, “Piccole
Donne Investono”, aimed at introducing women to the world of finance and
investing.
“Italy is one of our most important markets globally. Laura brings a
wealth of experience and expertise to our international clients’ team. With her
extensive background in business development and profound understanding of the Italian
investor market, Laura is the ideal candidate”, adds Thorsten Birke, Managing Director
and Head of International Clients at Golding.
“Growing our global client base is
a key element of our long-term business strategy. Hence, strengthen our Italian
franchise is major step forward in this regard. It enables us to establish our local
credentials in Italy and further develop our relationships and discussions on
alternative investments”, concludes Hubertus Theile-Ochel, Managing Partner and
responsible for Golding’s overall sales activities.
